In 2024, homeofnow became a reality. It is an approach to offer an alternative to expensive on-site retreats – with as many on-site retreat amenities as possible but around ten times cheaper.
4 renowned teachers
We are 4 renowned teachers, a certified psychotherapist and the back office. All 4 teachers are experienced mbsr teachers. Mbsr is short for mind based stress reduction from Jon Kabat-Zinn. They have gone through a whole year of training and have been meditating daily at for at least the last three years. Here you can get to know us more indepth.
Yearlong training in mbsr
Each of our 4 teachers has undergone a yearlong training in mbsr (mind-based stress reduction) – a internationally renowned organization formed by Jon Kabat-Zinn. All of them have also been meditating on a daily basis for years and each of them has multiple certificates in meditation, personal coaching or psychotherapy.

I’m 43 years old, was born in Switzerland and live here. I have about a decade of meditation experience and have, for example, done a 300hrs meditation teacher training with Master Dev in Rishikesh, India a few months ago.
Sometime in 2022, I wanted to join a meditation retreat but didn’t want to spend a price with four digits. So, with time progressing this vision of democratizing meditation retreats by making them available for all budgets grew into the homeofnow homepage you are looking at right now. It offers as many on-site retreat amenities as possible online – around ten times cheaper – on any day of the year.
The next step will be organizing on-site retreats that can be run on a budget as low as possible while still guaranteeing a great experience.
